WheelTracker at yourwheeltracker.com is a local-first wheel tracker. This page compares that homepage with OptionsLoop. It is not a review of a different iOS app that also uses the name WheelTracker.
As of October 2026. Every WheelTracker statement on this page is from the homepage at yourwheeltracker.com. If a detail is not on that page, it is not stated here. OptionsLoop details come from the OptionsLoop app and its privacy policy.
The product compared here is the one at yourwheeltracker.com. Its homepage calls it a local-first tracker for the wheel: cash-secured puts, covered calls, rolls, assignments, and long options, with live chains, price alerts, and broker imports. It says your data stays on your device.
A different product, Wheel Strategy Tracker on the App Store, by Darren Hon Hwee Ho, uses the name WheelTracker in its description. This page does not compare that app. Its features and in-app purchases are not listed here.
OptionsLoop is an account-based tracker. Google sign-in syncs trades across the website and the iOS and Android apps. Cash-secured puts, assignment, covered calls, and called-away shares are linked into one wheel with cost basis and total profit and loss.
| Topic | OptionsLoop | WheelTracker (yourwheeltracker.com) |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free plan. Premium is $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr. | The homepage says "Free & private. No account. No cloud. No key." It does not list a paid tier. |
| Where trades live | Google Firestore under your Google account. Signing in syncs web, iOS, and Android. | On the device. The homepage says there is no account and no cloud. A .wtrk snapshot is described as the way to move the whole state between phone, desktop, and browser, or to back it up. |
| The wheel | Puts, assignment, covered calls, and called-away shares are linked. The trade form can record a roll as a close plus a new open. | The homepage says a roll links the whole chain. On assignment, premium stays counted and cost basis updates: blended initial cost, premium credited per share, and adjusted basis. |
| Quotes | No option-chain browser. An optional Finnhub key, stored only in the browser, can show live stock quotes. | Live option chains: type a ticker, see expirations and strikes with bid and ask, premium filled at the mid, delta at open and delta now, and in-the-money or out-of-the-money flags. Quotes are delayed about 15 minutes (Cboe). |
| Alerts | Premium expiration reminders in the iOS and Android app: on-device, 3 days and 1 day before an open covered call or cash-secured put expires. Not price alerts. | Price alerts above, below, or both, by percent or by dollars, checked every 15, 30, or 60 minutes. In-app, system, and email notifications. |
| Import | Robinhood activity CSV, with duplicate detection, or manual entry for any broker. CSV export and a JSON backup. | Vanguard and E*TRADE detected automatically. Other brokers auto-mapped for review. Rolls and assignments reconstructed. Re-imports do not duplicate. Manual entry is also described. |
| Reporting | Free plan: history, performance, and profit and loss charts. Premium: annualized return on capital deployed, per wheel and across the portfolio. | Dashboard figures named on the homepage: net premium, win rate, open collateral, and annualized return, filtered by week, month, year, account, and ticker. |
| Platforms | Website, plus iOS and Android apps. | The homepage lists Web, macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS-ready. |
| Scope | The wheel, plus verticals, iron condors, straddles and strangles, and calendar and diagonal spreads. Grouped analysis is Premium. | The homepage lists cash-secured puts, covered calls, rolls, assignments, and long options. It does not describe vertical spreads or iron condors. |
WheelTracker's homepage is explicit: data stays on the device, and the app does not ask for an account, a cloud, or a key. A .wtrk file is the published way to move or back up that state. That is a real difference if you want the record to exist only on hardware you control.
OptionsLoop requires Google sign-in. Trades are stored in Google Firestore under that account so the website and the iOS and Android apps open the same log. The privacy policy says OptionsLoop does not read, sell, or share that trade data. Google hosts the database. You can export CSV or a JSON backup. The free plan shows ads. Premium ($4.99 per month or $39.99 per year) removes ads in the iOS and Android app.
The WheelTracker homepage also says price alerts can send email, alongside the "no account" and "no cloud" statements. This page reports both and does not guess how the email is delivered.
WheelTracker publishes a live option chain: expirations, strikes, bid and ask, a mid that fills the premium, and delta. OptionsLoop does not. The only market-data option in OptionsLoop is a Finnhub API key you supply yourself, kept in browser storage, for stock quotes. It is not an option chain, and the app works without it.
On imports, WheelTracker's homepage names Vanguard and E*TRADE as detected automatically, with other brokers mapped for you to review. OptionsLoop's published importer is a Robinhood activity CSV, plus manual entry for any broker. If your file is from Vanguard or E*TRADE, WheelTracker's homepage is the one that names those formats. If your file is from Robinhood, OptionsLoop names that format.
Annualized return is on WheelTracker's dashboard description. In OptionsLoop, annualized return on capital deployed is the Premium capital-efficiency view. The free plan shows profit and loss, history, and performance charts, and it does not include that capital-efficiency view. Public calculators for a single put, call, or wheel cycle are separate pages and do not require an account.
OptionsLoop's free plan keeps the wheel on your Google account across web, iOS, and Android. It does not include a live option chain.
Track your wheel trades freeAs of October 2026, the WheelTracker homepage says the app is free and private, with no account, no cloud, and no key, and that your data stays on your device. OptionsLoop uses Google sign-in. Signing in syncs trades across the website and the iOS and Android apps, and the trades are stored in Google Firestore.
No option-chain browser is part of OptionsLoop. You can optionally add your own Finnhub API key, stored only in the browser, for live stock quotes. WheelTracker's homepage describes live option chains with expirations, strikes, bid and ask, a mid price that fills in the premium, delta, and in-the-money or out-of-the-money flags. It says quotes are delayed about 15 minutes and come from Cboe.
OptionsLoop imports a Robinhood activity CSV, with duplicate detection, and you can add trades by hand for any broker. WheelTracker's homepage says Vanguard and E*TRADE files are detected automatically, other brokers are auto-mapped for review, rolls and assignments are reconstructed, and re-imports do not create duplicates.
WheelTracker's homepage describes price alerts on a strike, above, below, or both, by percent or by dollars, checked every 15, 30, or 60 minutes, with in-app, system, and email notifications. OptionsLoop's expiration reminders are a Premium feature in the iOS and Android app. They are on-device alerts 3 days and 1 day before an open covered call or cash-secured put expires. They are not price alerts.
